Teapot Tales: Volume 3 cover reveal! #TeapotTales #TT3

Here's the promised cover reveal for "Teapot Tales: A Collection of Unusual Fairy Tales (Volume 3)."

I took all of the votes off of Facebook, through e-mail and here in the comments and totalled them together.

The final vote was:
#1 – 1 votes
#2 – 4 votes
#3 – 0 votes
#4 – 6 votes
#5 – 6 votes

That left me with the tie-breaking vote. This was hard for me, because I actually believe very strongly that the first 3 covers were closer in style to the original two Teapot Tales anthologies, so I am kind of sad that none of them won the vote. So, as the vote was between the last two covers, #4 and #5, I decided to take many things into consideration, including aesthetics, fitting in with previous anthologies styles, and how the colour of the background will look when printed. #5 has the trees which are more like previous anthology covers, BUT the colour was much brighter and glaring than previous covers, which had more muted colours. (Yes, I printed the two covers up to see how they'd look on glossy paper.) In the end, after much consideration, I voted for:

#4

So that means that the new cover for Teapot Tales volume 3 is:

I'm still a little bit torn because we had an equal number of votes between each. (I really thought one would win out over the other.)

I was thinking that I could make an extra anthology as an extended version with a couple of extra stories in it and some extra pictures, using one of the covers, while using the other for the non-extended version. (That would mean more work for me though, as we have very few pictures at the moment!)

I'd love everyone's thoughts on this. If you voted for the #5, did you have your heart set on it? Would you like an extended version to be available, so that both covers could be used?

Final vote for Teapot Tales 3 cover!

We have a winner! Now it's time to narrow it down.

The voting total came to:
(One person voted for two different ones, so her vote was split between them into a half-vote. I, myself, did not vote; I only vote if I'm needed as a tie breaker.)

#1 – 1.5 votes
#2 –  4 votes
#3 – 0 votes
#4 –  3.5 votes

This means that #2 has won!

So now we need to vote on which of the #2 covers we want to use.

(If you like the font used on a different one from the one you vote for, you may say so along with your vote.)

Here are your choices. Please comment on this post with the # of the version of the cover you like best.

You have until Sunday, the 11th of October, to cast your vote. The final cover will be revealed on Monday, the 12th of October.

Cast your vote in the semi-finals for the cover for Teapot Tales 3!

The girl with the unicorn image, as well as the woman and the wolf image, got several votes, but spread out across different backgrounds, so here's the way we will be voting: You get one vote. Vote for your favourite cover. If your vote is cast for one of the images that has more than one background version, you will vote for it as a set and if it wins, we will vote again to choose which background. If your vote is cast for an image that there is only one of, and it has the highest number of votes, it will be our new cover. There is one additional image in this vote (and an additional background) that is only included because I forgot to add it into the previous voting.  #4 is added in based on suggestions put to me during the first round of voting. The other images both had equal votes between them when taken as a group.

This time, you may vote for your favourite in the comments for this post. (When the actual cover is finally chosen, you may suggest whether or not you want the title and subtitle together at the bottom of the image, the top of the image or title at the top and subtitle at the bottom. You can also choose between the two fonts used below. We're only limiting the fonts to keep them from being too different from book to book. So you don't need to take the title placement or fonts into consideration when voting. Just vote on the picture (or set, if the one you like is in one) that appeals the most to you.)

You have until Thursday, the 8th of October to cast your vote. Winning cover will be announced on Friday, either as the final cover or as the set that will have one last vote on. Once the final cover is chosen, you may give your recommendation for the fonts and the final cover will be revealed by Sunday, the 11th of October,

Help choose the new cover for Teapot Tales Volume 3! #TeapotTales #TT3

So today, we get to vote on our favourite cover for the new Teapot Tales anthology. Here are photos showing the first two anthologies, so you can get an idea for the style we are looking for so that we can keep the same feel for each cover.

Volume One
Volume Two

Here's how you are to vote:

E-mail me at Rebecca (at) Fyfe (dot) net with your choice for the cover. You may vote for up to three but you need to list them in the order that you like them; tell me which one gets your #1 vote, which one is your #2 choice and which one is your #3 choice. If we don't get an overall winner, we will put up the top three for a secondary voting round later.

Please keep in mind that, as well as being pleasing to the eye, the image also needs to fit in well with the previous two cover styles.

You have three days to send in your vote. Voting closes on Sunday at midnight GMT.
